Elizabeth (Reed Carter) Trotman, President & CEO
With more than 20 years of experience in the nonprofit and philanthropic sector, Elizabeth uses her insight and experience to implement strategies that help organizations achieve visibility, growth, mission clarity and impact. Her background includes work leading transformative efforts for United Way of Central Ohio, Nationwide Children’s Hospital, Charlotte Family Housing, The Charlotte Resilience Project, Novant Health and Foundation For The Carolinas. With a focus on innovation and outcomes, Elizabeth has developed and directed several civic and city-wide initiatives focused on education, healthcare, homelessness, mental health and resilience, entrepreneurship, corporate volunteerism, place-based neighborhood development, African American leadership, women and girls, and community voice. As a master facilitator and communicator, she enjoys moderating important conversations and delivering trainings and presentations on professional and leadership development and key community issues.
Elizabeth has a degree in communication (public relations) from Otterbein University and a Master of Public Administration and Leadership from The Ohio State University. She currently serves on the McCrorey YMCA Board and the UNC Charlotte’s Women + Girls Research Alliance Advisory Board. In addition to leading One Catalyst Consulting, Elizabeth is also the owner of Polished31, a personal development firm for women and girls.
